Ubisoft is adding a new studio in Mumbai
"Ubisoft first came to Kiev 10 years ago and since then the team grew and took on challenging projects, but alongside Kiev, we have always been interested in Odesa and thus the flawless occasion for us to show this was by opening an office there", said Sébastien Delen, Managing Director for Eastern European Hub studios (Romania, Ukraine and Serbia), Ubisoft.
More news from Ubisoft now as the French publisher reveals it is opening two new development studios. Ubisoft is said to be in search of up to 100 hires of "talented developers" within the next two years and will partner with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) to research/focus on machine learning and AI algorithms. The new Odesa studio will join Ubisoft's existing Ukrainian studio in Kiev and consolidate presence in the East-European territory. The Ubisoft Mumbai team will work closely with Ubisoft Pune, collaborating on the development of Ubisoft's AAA console games.
Several seniors will also join the Mumbai team to share their experience with the new recruits and help them ramp up quickly. Ubisoft has posted up that it will expand into India and Ukraine with its new Mumbai and Odesa studio.

The company behind game series such as Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia, Watch Dogs and Far Cry already operates one studio in India and the Mumbai studio will also be overseen by Ubisoft Pune managing director Jean-Philippe Pieuchot. "Mumbai being one of the biggest cities in the world, the opening of a new studio here will allow us to reach out to both national and worldwide talents". Opening a studio in one of the world's biggest and most dynamic cities will open the doors to a new pool of talents. "Mumbai will focus on AA development, and leverage our expertise in live operations and games as a service".
